This open approach ensures the joint participation of all parties in the upstream and downstream industrial chain.
In terms of the specific situation of PET pallets, among other things, if the packaging contains more than 25% post consumer recycled materials, the basic cost will enjoy a discount subsidy of 5.5%, while for colored and opaque packaging, the basic cost will increase by 10%.
For this reason, the Spanish market encourages the sale of hot formed PET packaging, and packaging companies can certify the recycled materials in their products through the following methods: RETRAY certification meets the requirements of EN 15343 standard and operates under the accreditation of ISO/IEC 17065 certification bodies.
